How to Connect the Frame to a Smartphone Hotspot

The Connected Photo Frame needs to be connected to WiFi to be able to receive and update new photos. If a WiFi connection is not available, you can connect your frame to a smartphone hotspot.

Below are the steps on how to set up a hotspot from your smartphone and how to connect the frame to the hotspot:

Hotspot on an iPhone:

1. Go to Settings

2. Go to "Personal Hotspot"

3. Enable "Allow Others to Join" and set the Wi-Fi password (min. 8 characters long)

4. Note: If you have an iPhone 12 or later, make sure to enable the setting "Maximize Compatibility"

Hotspot on an Android

1. Go to Settings

2. Go to "Network & internet"

3. Go to "Hotspot & tethering"

4. Set up a hotspot with a name and a password (min. 8 characters long) and turn it on

Once enabled, the name of the hotspot should appear in the Wi-Fi settings on the frame.

Press the hotspot and enter the password.

Your frame should now be connected to your smartphone hotspot.
