How to adjust video resolution for the Motion Video Frame?

You will need to use dedicated video editing software or online video converters to adjust the video resolution and export the video in the desired format and resolution.

The Motion Video Frames can only support videos with no higher than 520p resolution at this time, so please make sure that the videos being uploaded are within this resolution.

If you cannot find this from the options, please choose 480p (standard definition) instead.

Here are the two basic ways to adjust the video resolution

Using a Video Editing Software - popular options include Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Windows Movie Maker

  1. Open a video editing software that allows you to change the video resolution.
  2. Import the video file by either dragging and dropping the file into the project timeline or using the import feature within the software.
  3. Locate the video resolution settings or export settings within the software. This can usually be found under the "Export" or "Render" options.
  4. Adjust video resolution to 520p or choose the standard resolution 480p (640x480) from the options.
  5. Maintain aspect ratio - when changing the resolution, make sure to maintain the original aspect ratio of the video to avoid distortion.
  6. Preview and Export - before finalizing the resolution change, preview the video to ensure it meets your requirements. You can play the video within the editing software to check for any quality issues or distortion caused by the resolution adjustment.
  7. Export the video - or in some software you will be asked to start the rendering process, specifying the destination folder and filename for the reduced-resolution video.

Using an Online Converter - some popular options include Online UniConverter (formerly Media.io), CloudConvert, and Convertio.

  1. Upload your video via the "Choose File" or "Upload" button and select the video file you want to adjust.
  2. Select output format if prompted, or keep the same format if you wish to.
  3. Adjust video resolution to 520p or choose the standard resolution 480p (640x480) from the options.
  4. Maintain aspect ratio - when changing the resolution, make sure to maintain the original aspect ratio of the video to avoid distortion.
  5. Start conversion once you have adjusted the resolution and any other settings. This can be done via the "Convert" or "Start Conversion" button on the online converter's website.
  6. Download the converted video when the conversion process is complete.

Important Reminder!

Please note that reducing the video resolution will inevitably lead to a lower quality, hence it's advisable to strike a   balance between file size reduction - and always make a backup of your original video file before applying any modifications, so you don't lose any important content.
