How to Transfer Photos to Your Connected Frame via USB Cable

Looking to transfer photos straight from your computer to your LuvLink Connected Photo Frame? Using a USB cable is a quick and reliable way to do just that! This method works on Windows and Linux devices and is perfect when you want to move photos without relying on the app.

Note: USB cable transfers are currently supported only on Windows and Linux. If you're using a Mac, we recommend using the Frameo app or a micro SD card instead.

Here’s how to get started:

  1. Plug in your frame: Connect your photo frame to your computer using a USB cable.
  2. Enable transfer mode on your frame: On the frame, open Settings, then go to Manage Photos and select Transferfrom Computer. Switch on the option to allow your computer to recognize the frame.
  3. Find your frame on your computer: On Windows or Linux, open your file explorer and look for your frame listed as a removable drive, usually under “This PC” or “Devices.”
  4. Copy your photos: Open the folder named DCIM on the frame’s drive. Drag and drop the photos you want to transfer right into this folder.
  5. Wait for the import to finish: Once you’ve copied your photos, give the frame some time to process them before unplugging the USB cable. This helps ensure all your memories show up perfectly.

Troubleshooting Missing Photos

If some pictures or videos don’t appear after transferring, don’t worry — this might happen because the frame is still importing, the files weren’t saved in the right folder, or some files might not be supported by the frame.

What Happens with Unsupported Files?

Your frame supports a variety of photo and video formats, but not every file type will work. To check if any files didn’t make the cut:

  • Go to Settings Manage photosSHOW UNSUPPORTED FILES
  • You’ll see a list of files your frame can’t display
  • From here, you can delete unsupported files to free up space

Pro Tip: Optimize Your Photos and Videos

To speed up transfers and save storage, try resizing your photos and videos to your frame’s screen resolution before copying them over. This way, your frame displays your memories crisply and smoothly.
