In some cases, you may be asked to find the MAC ID of your LuvLink Friendship Lamp. The MAC ID is usually printed on a sticker on the base of the lamp.
If the sticker has been removed or if you're trying to connect to a college or public Wi-Fi network, you'll need to verify your MAC ID with us.
What Is a MAC ID?
The MAC ID is based on the 'Friendlamp_XXXX WiFi' numbers that each LuvLink Friendship Lamp broadcasts before it’s fully connected. This series of numbers appears in your list of available networks when the lamp is in the dim red setup mode. Each number is unique, so no two lamps will have the same one.
If you can't find the MAC ID on the sticker, you can still obtain this by going into setup mode. To do this, press and hold the top sensor for 3-5 minutes (or until the lamp turns dim red). Once you're in setup mode, you'll see the 'FriendlampXXXX' number in your available networks list. Just send us the number that appears after 'Friendlamp' and we can help you verify your MAC ID.
Then, send us the number via our contact form, and we'll take it from there!
Once you have the MAC ID, you can continue setting up your Friendship Lamp using the LuvLink App Setup Guide.
