What do I need to connect the lamp?

Power connection

Luvlink Friendship Lamps are connected via USB, so all you need is a unique power adapter with a USB port and you’ll be all ready to go.

We do not provide a power adapter, so you can use the same type of adapter you'd use for your mobile phone charger.  All you need to do is plug in the USB cable that comes in the box with the Friendship Lamp.

WiFi Requirements

The lamps need to be connected to WiFi for them to work. They are only compatible with 2.4Ghz WiFi at the moment. This is the current standard and has better range. However, most new 5Ghz routers also have an option for 2.4Ghz WiFi on them.

In case a WiFi connection is not available, you can also connect the lamp to a mobile hotspot or a public WiFi (such as a college WiFi).

Installing the Luvlink App

The Friendship Lamps require a one-time setup, and you’ll need to install the Luvlink App on your iOS or Android phone to connect it to your WiFi.

Once it is set up through the app, you can easily manage your lamp’s settings such as changing the lamp's color, sending secret color codes to a group, adjusting the brightness/ dimness, extending the dimming time, and setting a sleep timer among others.
