What the Colors Mean:
Dim Blue: I'm just turning on and connecting!
Dim Red: Oops, can’t connect to WiFi. Time to set up on the LuvLink App.
Dim Purple: We’re downloading an update. Once you see swirling green, we’re good to go!
Dim Orange: Connected to WiFi, but not to the internet.
Dim Yellow: Waiting for approval from your group admin.
Swirling Green: We’re connected to WiFi and ready to go!
Is Your LuvLink Friendship Lamp Stuck on a Color? Let’s Troubleshoot:
Purple
If your lamp’s stuck on purple, it's likely working through an update. Don’t worry – it’ll start swirling green once the update is done. But if it’s taking too long, try unplugging it, plugging it back in, and checking the app to see if your lamp’s firmware is up to date.
In some instances, the LuvLink Friendship Lamp will be stuck on purple if it is unable to connect to the WiFi due to some restrictions on your router.
If this is the first time you’re connecting your lamp to this WiFi network, or if there have been recent changes to your WiFi settings or router, the purple light could indicate a WiFi compatibility issue. This happens when the lamp isn’t able to connect properly to the WiFi network, and you will need to check your WiFi settings to see if this is the case. Yellow
When setting up your LuvLink Friendship Lamp and joining an existing group, the lamp will turn yellow as it awaits approval from your group admin—they are the ones who created the GroupID, and usually the first to set up their lamp in the group. The group admin will be notified in an email about a new lamp requesting to join the group, but they should also see on LuvLink App that a lamp is on 'PENDING' status.
Once approved, the lamp will go to swirling green indicating that you're ready to go and connect with other Friendship Lamps with the same GroupID.
If your lamp is on yellow 'Pending' status, but your group admin does not see it on their end on the app, it could be due to an incorrect GroupID entered during setup. Please ensure that you have the correct GroupID and enter this exactly as it —all lowercase and no spaces.
Please note that there could be other factors that may cause your Friendship Lamp to get stuck on yellow. If you have checked the GroupID and your lamp has been approved, but it is still stuck on yellow, it could be because a.) The WiFi connection has dropped out, usually due to an outage or b.) There is an issue with the power source that your are using.

Orange
If your LuvLink Friendship Lamp is stuck on orange, it means that your lamp is not successfully connected to the internet. Here's a few things for you to check:
- Please ensure that the router is providing an internet connection
- Please ensure that your router does not have restrictions on new devices
- Please check to see if your router is a standard home WiFi Router, or an Enterprise network.
Green
If a LuvLink Friendship Lamp is swirling green, but does not communicate with the other lamp/s in the group, it could mean that the GroupID was entered incorrectly. Please remember that the same GroupID needs to be entered correctly - exactly as it is - on each lamp during the setup to link them together.
The GroupID can be easily checked on the App—just tap on your lamp's settings (cog wheel) on the dashboard and open the GroupID section under the Device Information.
Please refer to this article for helpful instructions in checking your GroupID: What is a GroupID and how can I enter it?
